Dr. Paul Laband is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over 25 years of experience in primary care, hospital medicine, and hospice and palliative care. Known for his systems-level thinking and patient-centered approach, Dr. Laband has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including Chief Resident at Maine Medical Center, Medical Director of multiple organizations, and advisor to digital health startups like DeepScribe and Fruit Street Health.
He earned his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency and chief residency at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Laband’s background includes practicing in diverse settings from rural Maine to Napa Valley, where he served as Associate Medical Director for Primary Care and Hospice Medical Director at Collabria Care. He also co-founded HippocratesVC, the world’s first physician-funded social impact venture capital firm focused on digital therapeutics.
