How Chris Got His Energy and Mood Back

Summary

Chris spent years knowing something was better but not knowing how to get there, and says his own doctor never pursued it. He describes being lethargic, low on energy, and depressed all the time, to the point of not feeling like himself. A simple testosterone test from that doctor came back at 210 and was called a normal range. He found Med Matrix through an ad, did the fact-finding survey and a discovery call, then had blood work covering roughly 100 markers plus a body composition scan. After following the plan his provider built, his follow-up blood work showed substantial improvement, and he reports better energy, mood, and focus.

  • Depressed all the time, and did not feel like a human anymore
  • A testosterone test from his doctor came back at 210 and was called within a normal range
  • Came in skeptical, unsure whether the clinic was a gimmick or a marketing exercise

Results

  • Substantial improvements in his blood markers on follow-up blood work
  • More energy
  • Better mood
  • A lot more focus
  • More willingness to do things
  • Felt "absolutely amazing like I was 28 years old again"
  • Feels his health is on a solid path, and feels positive and hopeful about the future
  • Describes the experience as life-changing
  • Hopes to get his wife started as well

People like all right. They're like, "Oh, New York." I'm like, "No, it's freaking awesome." Like the city or or the city. The city is very cool. I lived in the city before I moved here. I went from Boston to New York and then Boston, I got nothing for Boston. I got nothing for Boston. Boston's a It really is a It's a lot of suck. They do. People suck. They do. New York, you got so much diversity there. Not a bad person. Everybody stays to themselves. And they don't bother You don't bother them. Yeah. Yeah. So, it's hard to connect with people there. Yeah. You have to be in with a group. And somebody has to introduce you before you get into the group and then they'll either like you or not like you and then you're either ostracized or you're brought in. I thought it was actually a lot harder to make friends here. Really? In New York. Yeah. Cuz in New York there's so many different people. You meet people everywhere you go. Right? Yeah. A little bit surface-level at first, but here a lot of people don't want anything to do with you, which is kind of weird. Right? And I think it's because it's smaller. Right? Like communities are tighter and things like that. But I can't really We don't do as much I mean community thing, you know what I mean? It's not like being in New York where they have the giant food festival. Absolutely love that every Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Yes, please. What is it What is it called? The like Smorgasburg? Is it that one? No, it's the international food festival they have every single week. They have so many. It's like, this is insane. Yeah. I love it. Yeah. it. Absolutely love it. You you just I'm born and bred in Maine. Um it's just finding With people from Maine, you have to ask them questions cuz they don't give two shits about you. Yeah. They do not care about you. Let me talk about me. I kind of get that. That That actually checks out. Start Start with that first. Okay. What do you do? What do you Everybody asks, "What do you do for work?" Boring. People do that everywhere. Boring. It's so annoying. What do you get to do for fun? That's a good question. You should ask that one. What do you get to do for fun? Yeah. Whether it might be work or it might be outside of work, what do you do? Yeah. You'll be surprised. You'll be surprised. We'll get some better answers. You will. You'll get a a better conversation. Yeah. You get a better conversation and and the biggest thing is is don't um here I am preaching like an old man. No. Um and this has taken me a long time to ask more probing questions and not engage in the conversation. Meaning, bringing your own self experiences or anything like that. Yeah. Like, oh yeah, my buddy da da da da da da. No. They don't care. No. Don't care. Don't care. It You keep the conversation self-centered around them and you'll find that they're like, "Oh my god, this person is awesome." You said three You said three sentences, you know, and they're and they're like, "Ah, you're come come to the cookout. We're coming to the cookout. This person's awesome." You haven't said anything. Yeah. Because you just let that person just ramble off at the mouth. Interesting. I'm going to use that. I'm going to use that next time you're here. I'm going to find you. Yep. That's how it goes. That's how it goes. Yeah. Yep. Please do. Please do. Yes. All right. So, very easy, painless process. Yep. Very probing set of questions. But we're going to just go through, I guess, how you were feeling before, your experience here with our team, your first encounter with Mid-Matrix, your I guess journey to get to where you are now. And just general questions. You don't have to talk about anything you don't feel comfortable talking about, right? Yeah. So, what led you to our practice? Years of knowing that there was something better, but not knowing how to get there, asking the questions to the doctor, and the doctor really never pursued it or understood or asked the probing questions of what more could we do? And saw an ad, looked into the ad, inquired about it, did the fact-finding survey, and had a nice conversation, and I decided, you know what? I spent enough money on myself on other recreational things, why not take a gamble and spend the money on myself to actually improve my health. So, that's what I did. So, that that there wasn't like a I guess a moment where you were like, all right, I'm going to do this. It was kind of just just fell in your lap. It It some point in your life, you start to take uh you start to take note of your age, how you're feeling. You mature as you go through life when you realize, you know, if I want to make it to the next stage, I'm going to have to do a little bit more, and that's kind of where I found Mid-Matrix. I've been watching it and secretly stalking them online and watching the videos and whatnot. So, I kind of improved a little bit more questions to them, and I put an inquiry in. Awesome. And that discovery call, how did you that first call with us, how did you feel about that? It was really good. Um I believe I dealt with Jamie, and very very easy, no pressure, You know, what do you want? You know, what are you looking for? They're not trying to sell you anything. What do you want? Basically, we'll let you know if we can help you. And that's that's where it led from there. All right. Yeah. So, let's go to that first visit here. Blood draw, the InBody, your experience with our team. Was there any way you were feeling when you entered versus how you felt when you left? Skeptical and anticlimactic in the end. It's like, well, okay, what was that all about? All right, let's see what happens there. And it was it wasn't until the first consultation with the doctor that I really realized that, okay, this this isn't a gimmick. They actually are doing way more than any doctor would ever travel the path down to find out what is actually wrong with you and what is going on. The the I believe it was a 100 count blood marker. Very impressive. Very impressive in the knowledge for the doctor and like, this is what I would recommend and this is what it's going to do. Here's the pros, here's the cons. So, it was all weighed out very well. Awesome. And just backtracking, what what are some of the things you were feeling every day, you know, to that you wanted addressed? Um lethargic, couldn't get out of my own way. Just didn't feel good. Um didn't have the energy I had before. Um just depressed all the time. Just didn't feel like a human anymore. It's like, why bother? And I knew that that is not normal. I addressed that with my doctor and they did a simple T test and they said, oh, you're within a normal range." which was 210, which I now know that is not a normal range and let me tell you, it was worth every single penny. Every single penny. So, that first visit with the provider, um you said it was that's when you started to see, "Oh, okay, this isn't a gimmick." How did you kind of enter and how did you leave? How did you feel? Um skeptical at first, but as it progressed on with the visit, I felt a lot more comfortable that okay, we're in good hands. They've got a plan. They actually have a plan. Like here's what we found, here's what we need to do to fix it and here's what we're going to do to to fix it and address it and monitor it at the same time. We're not just going to throw you a bunch of pills or anything like this. This works. So, we're going to do this and this will get you here. They actually had a plan and a road map to get me where I needed to go. And what about the, you know, provider assistant? Is there anything that you like just noticed or any part of your experience that you thought about after? Um my first liaison was Jamie. Super knowledgeable, very chill person, very I could really connect with her very well and very responsive to any questions that I had or any inquiries that I had. Uh was always right there, had an answer with within less than 8 hours or less, more like a couple of hours. Um yeah, very very impressive. It's funny cuz I would not describe Jamie as chill, like down-to-earth. She is constantly running, you know, like do you need this you need something? She's right there. Doesn't matter what it is. She is Yeah. She is she's chill. You can tell personally for me, you can tell a lot by a a person's voice and how they speak and their audio flexes in it and that's how I I can tell yeah, she's She's incredible. Yes, she is. She's very good at what she does. Very good. Very good. My first day of working here, she um she looked at me, she said, "Oh, hey." She looked at me, she said, "Be right back." She came back with an IM shot. She said, "I'm going to stab you now." She stabbed me with some vitamin C. Say hello. I felt great. Right. I felt That's exactly what I needed. Right. She said, "All right, bye." Okay. She's really good at what she does. Really good, yeah. And it makes me sad that I don't get to interact with her. She's here. You can find her before you leave. Yeah, a lot more. Yeah. She's awesome. Yeah. So, going to your treatment, how do you think your treatment plan went? Like your process of just going through the treatment in general to your follow-up? Um very easy. Very easy. Just it's seamless, really. It was seamless. We we did how things were going to work, went through that and came from the follow-up. I had um blood work done. We were able to see that we made substantial improvements in blood marker and all of the markers in that aspect. And for me personally, I felt absolutely amazing like I was 28 years old again and no the aches and pains, as weird as that sounds and I know a lot of people will be like, "Nah, that's not true." Super wicked skeptical. Yeah. It it it it it works. It's easy to be skeptical about what you don't know. Exactly. You only know what you know. That's true. Yep. Yep. It was very very it was life-changing. It really was. Especially because medicine were so, I guess like trained to think like, oh you go there when you're sick. You go there when you're not feeling well and then they tell you that you were fine. You know, you look fine. Yeah, you look fine. Well, how do you know? How do you know? I don't know what the symptoms are. Yeah, exactly. So, um what about the inbody? We didn't really talk about the inbody. How's your experience been with that? What's inbody? The thing that scans your body. Oh, that's all witchcraft. Okay. I have no idea how what it does or how it does that. Yeah. I think it's pretty cool. I don't understand it, but hey, if it whatever. I don't know if it's made up or not, but hey. I love that thing. It's awesome. Seems pretty cool. I'm hoping that it's not just spitting out random an algorithm number, but Shouldn't be. Okay. Shouldn't be. All right. Um so, how what would you say the biggest change that you have like experienced has been through your treatment? In everyday life. Hm. Energy. Energy, mood, um focus, a lot more focus, a lot more willingness to do more things. Having the energy to do it helps, so it all goes hand in hand with everything that we've done. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. And how do you think your life, I know we just talked about symptoms, but how do you think your life and the way that you feel about your future and your health future feels now versus before? It's on a solid path. I know where I'm going. I know that the path is there and um I feel very positive and very hopeful for the future as well. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. And for somebody who let's say is on the fence, they're skeptical just like you, right? Saying what is functional medicine? How would you describe it to them? Very scientifically based action plan that is derived through your blood work. It's very specific to you. It's not specific to anybody else. And once they have that information, then they can go and create a plan for you to figure out where you want to go. They're going to ask you a lot of questions. What are you looking to get out of it? And I just continually get that question as well. What are you looking to get out of it? So you have to do a lot of soul searching and a lot of understanding of what you're looking to get out of this. And not just some random question or random answer. Really think about what you want to improve in your life and where you want to be in the end. And they will help you get there. Awesome. Yeah. So then for one of your friends or anyone who is on the fence, how would you What would you say to them? How do you feel right now? Do you feel like you're at the best that you could possibly be? How did you feel when you were 20 years younger? Would you like to feel like that now? That was poetic. That was That was really good. Yeah. Do you say this a lot? No. No? Nope. This is all this coming out of the head. Straight off the dome. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Well, is there anything else that you would want to add? I I'm just excited to see where where the journey's going to go and what else can be done. Um I'm hoping to have my wife on this as well. So that's I'm I guess I'm the guinea pig and the test dummy. So, I'm seeing good results and she's seeing it as well. So, hopefully we'll get her on board as well. Yeah. I mean, you get the free blood panel, you know? So, Yeah. I just got no reason to not come. Yeah. She's got no reason. Exactly. Well, thank you so much. I mean, I get to do a lot of these testimonials and I mean, I always say thank you for, you know, sharing with us, but thank you for sharing with me because it's really a wonderful experience. Yeah. You know, it's like I get to take in everybody's journey, everybody's experience. That's really, really cool. And I knew at one point there was and I started doing research on T levels and everything like that. And I didn't really think that it was a big thing until I started looking into it. And once I started looking into it and seeing what my primary had for numbers and what it was supposed to be. And I'm like, well, is there any truth to this? Kind of gambled when I came to Mid Mid Matrix cuz I wasn't sure if that was you know, if this really a thing or is this a marketing thing or what's going to happen? It's real. And guys, go get yourself checked. Yes. I can tell you work in film and videography videography. Yeah. That is so funny. Um yeah, it is really interesting because especially there's like a whole epidemic of testosterone and estrogen levels just going down. Oh. Right like right now. So, as the normal levels that are taken from this like large gauge of people, they're also shifting downwards. Mhm. Which is really interesting. Lower sperm counts. Lower everything. Everything. It's because of the all the EMF that's happening, the cell phones, the earbuds. Oh my god, we're going to have such a problem here in the your generation. You're screwed. I'm serious. There's going to be the Bluetooth ones. Yeah. I don't even I don't want to use them. Like the EMF that's going through your brain. Yeah. It's It's scary. It really is. It's going to cook your brain. Just stick your head in the microwave. Cuz that's what you're doing. It's interesting, too, cuz my parents used to say these things. I'd say, "Ah, you don't know what you're talking about." You've gotten older and wiser. Welcome, grasshopper. Well, No, truly, it's like the It's really
