Patient Story
Carla: Pain free with energy
Summary
Carla came to Med Matrix in severe physical distress: heart palpitations, very high blood pressure, extreme muscle fatigue, and pain so bad she could barely walk from one end of her house to the other. Her regular doctor and even the hospital had not addressed the root causes, dismissing her symptoms as age-related. Within a week and a half of her first Med Matrix appointment, she was pain-free, sleeping later, and moving freely. She credits thyroid treatment (T3 alongside T4) as a key piece, and now actively recommends Med Matrix to everyone she knows.
Before Med Matrix
- Heart palpitations
- Very high blood pressure
- Severe muscle fatigue
- Extreme difficulty walking (stiff and painful; her mother noticed it nearly a year before)
- Going to bed as early as 5:15 to 5:20 p.m. due to physical exhaustion
- Pain getting in and out of vehicles
- Not sleeping well
- Gasping for air at times
- Previous doctors attributed symptoms to age and told her to exercise more
- Hospital visit and repeated calls to her doctor's office went unanswered or unaddressed
- Only T4 being tested and treated; T3 not addressed
Results
- Pain-free within approximately a week and a half
- Cried with relief the first night she lay down and felt no pain
- Can roll over in bed without pain
- Can get in and out of vehicles without difficulty
- Staying up later, no longer going to bed at 5 p.m. from exhaustion
- Can go for walks and keep up with kids
- No longer gasping for air
- Blood pressure improvement (implied through medication changes)
- Excited about upcoming follow-up, expecting continued improvement

Um, I was really not feeling well. Um, I had reached out to my doctor. I'd gone to I'd even been to the hospital. Um, kept calling. Wasn't getting a response from my doctor's office. Feeling really horrible and knew I needed something and somebody to hear me and someone to do something for me. Um, cuz I was I was a hurting unit. I was having heart palpitations. My blood pressure was really high. Um I major muscle fatigue. Um just really having a hard time um just walking. Um not sleeping well. There's a a whole line of things that were going on. Oh, it was horrible. Um you know, just to just to get up to go from one end of my house to the other was was just it was painful. It was very painful. and I I wasn't doing the things that I needed to be doing just to function to get through the day. It had gone on for quite some time like I was having difficulty like walking. My mom noticed it almost a year ago cuz I was so I was like really stiff. It just really hurt to walk and and I had gone to the doctors, you know, for like a physical and there was just there was nothing. There was no addressing any of that. Just it was my age or or whatever. Do you remember what they were telling you more specifically? Were they just getting older. Yeah. That I just needed to exercise more. I needed to, you know, get walking. I needed, you know, and which okay, but that's hard to do when you're in in chronic pain. So, when you um came to Med Matrix, what was the initial experience like? What was it like actually sitting out with a provider for an hour, you know, diving into your help? You know, it was funny because the first time that changed up some of my meds and the first time I remember like I actually cried at night when I I laid in bed and I thought, "Oh my gosh, I don't hurt. I don't hurt." And I kept trying to make myself like I would move and I like I literally started crying because I just didn't hurt. It was it was crazy, you know. Um you know, I have a follow-up appointment coming right up soon and I'm psyched about it. I can't wait to see what other things are going to happen for me because I know that I'm just going to get better. It was amazing to me like just to lay there and realize like, oh my gosh, I rolled over and that didn't hurt. Like it just it was there are no words. There are no words. What was the how what was the timeline like for you from like seeing the doctor actually feeling better? Week and a half. It was I mean it was quick. like it was it was amazing and it was amazing to see. Um I came in to have lab works and then I went back to my PCP and I actually I took a copy of my lab work from here and showed my doctor. It was just sort of yeah well you know it was because of this. Okay, are we going to do anything? And there was nothing. Absolutely no uh well, we're gonna try this or maybe you should, you know, there was there was just absolutely no answers. No answers to, you know, what can we do to make this better? Like I can go out for walks and I can, you know, chase the kids around. I'm actually staying out of bed. Like I was so physically exhausted. I wasn't mentally, emotionally, I wasn't tired, but my body was so fatigued that I was going to bed anywhere from 5:15, 5:20 and just laying there because I just I hurt. So, I'm staying out of bed now. I stay up later, you know? So, I I actually It's just fun, you know. I I know like getting in and out of my son's truck, I couldn't I couldn't do it. It was It took a long time. Like, I would literally go from the seat to the floor. Yeah. and then have to go from the floor down. And even that I mean it took a long time. So it was I mean the difference was crazy crazy. Med Matrix all the way. You don't even have to finish. Just go to Med Matrix. I literally all of my friends on Facebook I invited everybody to Medatrix. I'm like you just got to try it. And anytime I see somebody and anyone says anything, go to MedMatrix. Just go. Just go. They do something. They do things that are different. You just got to go to Medatrix. That's all I can say. Um, and I mean that 100%. I mean, come to Midmatrix. It's amazing. Like for me, it just feels like my whole world was turned around for the better. I'm like, it's exciting to to see and to feel and to feel to not hurt. Like with my thyroid, the test over here was showing one thing and then the test here was showing something, you know, kind of something different. And, you know, nobody's ever talked to me about T3. It's always just been treat, you know, the T4, but now having both of them and having it work together has been an amazing thing, too. I mean, I was Cole. I was gasping for air like at times. I like I could not breathe because I was just gasping. I don't do that anymore.
